Amazing coffee in the perfect little place! Lucky to stay close by for work, but have been making Birds Hill a London Staple. The staff is so kind, and the coffee is absolutely fantastic!

Amazing flat white and matcha latte! the coffee beans are freshly toasted inside this tiny shop. They have great decaf and Oatly milk, also coconut Alpro. Very friendly. And nice to get a seat outside to sip our cuppa in the midst of the buzzing city. Highly recommend. Oh, and the vegan cinnamon bun is delish too!

Birds Hill Coffee in Southwark is an independent coffee shop that roasts their own coffee. The space is small with some seating outside, but feels cosy. The latte I got was very good, and also a delicious croissant. I sat down for a bit as the weather was nice and sunny, and noticed lots of people coming for their morning coffee. The barista seemed to know most people and stroke up nice conversations. It is overall a very friendly atmosphere and the coffee is made with love.

They have fresh roasted coffee beans on site. They don’t charge for coffee if you buy the beans. We got latte and it tastes good but a bit hotter than a latte should be. The coffee is dark and medium roasted.

Birds Hill Coffee in Southwark is a micro-roastery and cafe that has carved out a distinctive presence in London’s specialty coffee scene. Tucked into a compact, converted garage at 142 Southwark Street, this independent spot is celebrated for its small-batch roasting, minimalist charm, and tight-knit community vibe. Dropped by for a quick break — it’s a small, simple place but delivers excellent coffee. The latte was great value at just 3.70, smooth and well-balanced. Despite its modest size, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. A solid 5 out of 5 for quality and charm.

5 stars for the flat white. My first cup of joe after I landed from New York. I’m so happy to start my day with a great cuppa.
